New author, book and genre!
I used to shy away from science fiction, seeing it as unrealistic and just plain boring. Isaac Asimov (you might have heard of him) says otherwise. With 90 sci-fi books on my Kindle currently, it makes sense to review some of them! I've begun with the classic I, Robot. Read the reviews, and enjoy! |
My Stories - new column added!
Sorry for not posting for so, so long, but I'm back - with a new, exciting column that contains most of my short stories and (sometime soon) poetry. I'll be so glad if you can post comments after reading them, and enjoy! |
The Bum Series
No, it isn't April Fools. There is actually a series on butts! Have fun checking out the new review on The Day My Bum Went Psycho. |
The Devil's your man!
I have added the intriguing Devil's Dictionary and its satiric author, Ambrose Bierce! Check out the "favourite part" ![]() |
Lots of Famous Five!
Lately, I've been really addicted to the Famous Five series by Enid Blyton, so I've added quite a few reviews about them. Be sure to look into them — and if you can, read them! |
Yellow Star
I have just added Yellow Star and its author, Jennifer Roy. It is really a wonderful story — you should really read it! You won't be able to put it down (until you've finished it, of course). I usually don't say this, but you should really go to your local library especially for this. |
The latest Wimp!
I've just added a review of the absolute latest Diary of a Wimpy Kid — Hard Luck, by Jeff Kinney. I very much recommend you to read it (and the book, if you can) — it's pretty good! |
Hot off my keyboard
I have just completed the final draft of my very first novel, The Pianist. It may take a while to get published (even a very long while), so meanwhile, here is the blurb (the summary on the back cover of a book). Thirteen year old Ashley Cassell discovers that the family piano conceals an exciting secret. Imagine her surprise when her untrained fingers produce magical melodies from the piano keys. She soon learns that her playing has freed Ryan, a fifteen year old boy, from a spell cast by the evil witch Bablot. Together, Ashley and Ryan set out on a dangerous journey to the abyss, the home of Bablot. How will Ashley, Ryan, and Mozart’s 11th sonata in A major join forces to defeat the witch? Isn't this exciting?! |
