The Jungle Book

When Mowgli, a young toddler comes toddling into a wolves' cave, the family decides to take care of him as a son. He's reared as a young wolf and fits in the atmosphere of the jungle. He learns to respect the Law of the Jungle, and soon makes friends with Bagheera and Baloo, his rightful guardians. Finally, he tries to live with man, though he feels he belongs to the jungle.
His frightful enemy, Shere Khan, haunts him forever until, of course, Mowgli kills him.
I think that this story is quite similar to Tarzan - they are both about man living as a wild beast in the jungle.
