Osamu Tezuka

Osamu Tezuka was a Japanese cartoonist and manga writer. He was nicknamed as
Gashagasha-atama inside his family, meaning messy-head. Osamu wrote the manga series Buddha, relating the stories of the great Gautama with real and imaginary characters and happenings. He speaks seriously of the castes in his manga - how some are untouchable, while others, brahmin, are treated with utmost respect. His most worked on manga is the Phoenix, his life's work, which he continued until his death. Like most manga writers, Osamu Tezuka adds a little violence and bloodshed into his comics, but I realize it also has a little osamushi tinge.
